Who we are

Complexio in a few words
Complexio is a young consultancy firm that was created in 2006 by Valerie Gacogne. The activity consists of developing decision support tools and simulation models especially using System Dynamics. We are currently working on research projects in collaboration with public institutes (such as the French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research and the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management). We also create partnerships with private companies in order to form skilled teams that best suit our projects.

We define ourselves as facilitators who help organizations and individuals understand complex situations and find adequate solutions by developing simulation models.
Valerie Gacogne has been working for 12 years in the fields of transport economics and transport policies, logistics and in developing decision support tools using simulation models. She has a PhD in transport economics from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees (a French national engineering school), for which a System Dynamics model called SANDOMA was built. She has contributed to numerous European research projects funded by the European Commission and to French projects (part of them in the framework of the French program of research, experimentation and innovation in land transport).
Note: Complexio is a Latin word that means "combination", it also meant in Late Latin "temperament" (where the English word "complexion" comes from).
